List of Week 5 Nominees

Small School (Class 1A-3A)

Kobe Brish, RB, Schuylkill Haven, Jr.: Kobe had a tremendous game, rushing 17 times for 259 yards and four touchdowns. Brish helped lead Schuylkill Haven to a big victory over Marian Catholic 60-14 Friday night.

Rahmon Hart, WR, Imani Christian Academy, Sr.: Hart reeled in 6 receptions for 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rahmon helped Imani Christian rally from behind to beat Greensburg Central Catholic 36-21 Friday night.

Christian Lewis, RB-CB, Farrell, Sr.: Christian led Farrell’s the ground attack, toting the rock 11 times for 213 yards and three touchdowns. Lewis logged 57-, 59- and 37-yard touchdown runs in a 63-0 rout over Cambridge Springs Friday night.

Avante McKenzie, RB, Aliquippa, Sr.: Avante rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns in a 39-0 victory over rival Beaver Falls Friday night. McKenzie had only nine carries but scored on first-half runs of 27, 79 and 82 yards.

 

 

Big School (Class 4A-6A)

Christian Cole, RB, Oil City, Sr.: Christian rushed for 339 yards and four touchdowns on just 16 carries while also returning an interception for a touchdown in a 55-12 victory over DuBois on Friday night.

Hollis Mathis, QB, Penn Hills, Sr.: Hollis passed for 332 yards and three touchdowns and added a 30-yard rushing touchdown in helping Penn Hills on its way to a 64-28 victory over Kiski Area. Mathis connected on 12 of 17 passes on Friday night.

Nyzair Smith, RB, Dallastown, Sr.: Nyzair rambled for 321 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-25 win over Northeastern. Smith scampered for over three hundred yards on 34 carries.

Isaiah Taylor, RB, Pottsgrove, Jr.: Isaiah sprinted for 215 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Taylor’s enormous night propelled Pottsgrove to a 45-6 victory over Pottstown on Friday night.
